Co-founder

Nabeel Esat

Nabeel achieved all 8s and 9s at GCSE, including Triple Science, then AAA at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry and Computer Science, starting Computer Science with no programming experience at all. He went on to graduate from the University of Southampton with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry, and has since completed further university-level modules in Python Programming and Bioinformatics & Systems Biology.

Now in his fifth year of tutoring, he has taught GCSE and A-Level Computer Science, Biology and Chemistry, including through MyTutor, before co-founding STEM Focused Tuition. Over that time he has built real experience supporting students with additional learning needs, including autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and ADD, adapting each lesson so it’s accessible without losing academic rigour.

Alongside tutoring, Nabeel works in guest experience at Marwell Zoo, where the day-to-day is about explaining things clearly, reading what a person actually needs and making sure they leave with a good experience. It’s the same instinct he brings to a lesson: a confused student isn’t a problem to push through, it’s a signal to explain it differently.

Co-founder

Muhammad Ahmed

Muhammad is an experienced Maths and Science tutor with over 3 years of tutoring experience and more than 500 hours of online and in-person teaching. He achieved all 8s and 9s at GCSE, including 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, before completing A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. He has taught students in both classroom and one-to-one settings, including co-teaching a class of 30 GCSE students.

He specialises in Maths and the Sciences, with a teaching style that is patient, friendly and tailored to each student. He focuses on breaking difficult topics down clearly, building confidence and helping students develop the exam technique they need to make real progress.

Tutor

Haris

Haris is an undergraduate Structural Engineer completing a degree apprenticeship with a leading engineering firm, combining his university studies with hands-on experience in the engineering industry. He completed his first year at the University of Southampton before transferring to the University of Portsmouth as part of his firm-funded degree apprenticeship, where he is completing the remainder of his degree alongside practical industry experience.

Alongside engineering, he has 5 years of tutoring experience and has been a top tutor at STEM Focused Tuition, as well as providing private tuition. He specialises in Maths, Science and Physics, supporting students from Year 6 through to A-Level.

His own results show strong subject knowledge, particularly in Maths and the Sciences: an A* in A-Level Mathematics, an A in A-Level Physics, and Grade 9s in GCSE Maths and Combined Science. His engineering apprenticeship also lets him bring real-world applications of Maths and Physics into his lessons, helping students see how the subjects are used beyond the classroom.

Tutor

Subhan

A diverse background shapes how Subhan teaches. Born in Pakistan, he studied there through to Grade 6 before moving to Saudi Arabia to complete his IGCSEs, achieving A grades across Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, an A* in Computer Science, A grades in Accounting and Business Studies, and a Level 8 in English Language. He has now been in the UK for just over five years, where he finished his GCSEs and sixth form, achieving A*AA at A-Level (Biology A*, Maths A, Chemistry A) alongside an A* in his Extended Project Qualification, a Distinction in BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care, and a UCAT score of 2830 (Band 2). He has just started studying Medicine at the University of Southampton.

That path across three countries and three education systems means Subhan understands first-hand what it’s like to adapt, start over and perform under a completely new set of rules, which is exactly what he helps students do. Whether it’s tracing the steps that got them here or planning where they’re going next, he helps students mind-map their own story, so a UCAS personal statement reads as something they’ve genuinely lived rather than something written to a template.

Tutor

Umar

Umar has been tutoring Mathematics for over four years, working with students of different ages and abilities. His aim is to make mathematics clear and approachable by explaining not only how a method works, but why it works. Once the underlying idea is understood, even difficult problems become far less intimidating.

His academic background has always been strongly mathematical. At school he achieved A*/A grades in Accounting, Mathematics and Economics at A-Level, together with 7 A*/A grades at IGCSE. He later graduated with a BSc in Mathematics with First Class Honours from the University of Southampton, before completing an MSc in Computational Finance at University College London (UCL).

He also worked as a Mathematics Workshop Leader at the University of Southampton and co-founded Life-Line Tuition in Botswana, providing academic support to students, including free classes for underprivileged learners. Umar’s teaching follows a simple principle: understand the idea, practise the method, and then learn to apply it independently.
